Javiera Aguilera is an Associate Attorney at the Shaked Law Firm’s First Party Property Litigation Department. Javiera has represented clients in first-party property insurance claims in both residential and commercial contexts. Her significant litigation and coverage experience aids her in counseling and representing clients in all types of coverage disputes.
Javiera is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, and federal court including the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. Javiera joined the Florida Bar in 2012, after graduating from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2003, with a bachelor’s degree in History.
While in law school, she served as the Treasurer of the Gay Rights Alliance, was a member of the Mock Trial team, and attended Christchurch University in New Zealand and Monash Law School in Australia as part of a study abroad program with an emphasis on International and Comparative Law.
Javiera was born in Santiago, Chile and raised in Hollywood, Florida. When not practicing law, Javiera enjoys spending time with her orange tabby cat, traveling, and volunteering for local political organizations. Javiera is a notary public and is fluent in English and Spanish.
